Asra was born and raised in Orlando, Florida, just minutes from Disney World. She relocated to the Chicagoland area and earned her bachelor’s degree in Communicative Disorders with the intention of pursuing a career in speech-language pathology.
However, after volunteering at a pediatric outpatient clinic, she discovered a passion for helping children with gross motor delays, which led her to pursue a career in physical therapy.
Asra earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Midwestern University. She has a strong interest in working with children with neurological conditions, particularly those who are not meeting key motor milestones such as crawling or walking. She is currently pursuing her Early Intervention credentials and holds a certification in Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI) Introductory Level A.
Outside of the clinic, Asra enjoys working out, traveling with her husband, and ranking local pizzerias. Her current top three include: Pequods, Kim’s Uncle and Pie Life.
